Butter is usually used when making bread and cakes, and butter is hard and lumpy when bought, so it must be softened before use. How does the butter soften? There are several ways to soften butter. Today, the editor of Haxiu Food will share with you three commonly used methods by baking experts.

  What is butter?

Butter is also called butterfat and buttermilk. It is made by separating the cream and skimmed milk in the milk, then ripening the cream and mixing it. In terms of production process, butter can be divided into raw butter, ultra-fine butter and fine butter; in terms of taste, it can be divided into plain, half-salted and salted butter. Butter is mellow and delicious, sweet and delicious, it is a kind of food that many people like. It is rarely eaten directly, and is usually used as a cooking auxiliary. Butter is very nutritious and is the first dairy product, including amino acids, proteins, vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, glycosylated neurophospholipids, cholesterol, etc. It is suitable for all ages. But because its fat content is not low, it should not be consumed in excess.

   Butter softening method:

   1. Soften at room temperature

The most conventional method is to slowly soften the butter at room temperature. The time required for softening varies according to the size of the butter and the height of the room temperature. If the butter is just taken out of the freezer, it will take longer. If it is cold winter, this method may not be available.

  2, microwave heating

You can put the butter cubes in the microwave and heat them for tens of seconds, which can quickly soften them. The time required also varies according to the size of the butter and its own temperature when it is taken out of the refrigerator. But this method is not easy to control, and it is easy to overheat. Once the butter has melted into a liquid state, it must be placed in the refrigerator until it re-solidifies before use. However, it can be heated in a few seconds to check the softening degree of the butter at any time.

  3, water heating

Heat the butter in water until it melts completely, then put it in the freezer for about 5 minutes to re-solidify it into a solid, but take it out when it is very soft. The time required for this method is very short, but it is also not easy to control. If you accidentally over-freeze your head, your previous efforts will be lost. Note that butter cannot be melted by heating directly on fire, it must be melted in water.
